I was born in 1986 and grew up in west Georgia. Ever since I can remember, I’ve been fascinated with tools and woodworking. In the last few years, I have been directing my career towards fine woodworking and sourcing my own lumber. More often than not, the uglier the log on the outside, the more beautiful the grain on the inside. Finding beauty and purpose in wood once destined for decay is like finding lost treasure. Taking partially rotted or diseased wood, disregarded by pulpwooders or mills, and transforming it into a timeless work of art is one of the most gratifying things I have experienced.
